Tama (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW Board approved Supervisor and Certified EMDR Consultant. In addition to running her private therapy practice, Tama works as a couples therapist for Veteran’s Affairs and as a corporate resilience coach, facilitates healing circles for women, and she was honored to serve her community as a trauma therapist at the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC) from 2016-2022. Throughout her career, Tama has worked in various international settings providing mindful, relational therapy and stress management to first responders, humanitarian aid workers, United Nations, US Embassy, and NGO executives & professionals, children, and families. She specializes in supporting fellow helping professionals.
At DCAC, she provided client-centered care, shared Mindfulness & resilience practices with staff, and she was chosen by her peers as DCAC’s first Employee of the Year in 2018. Prior to her work at DCAC, Tama served in Mali, West Africa as a counselor, yoga teacher & bodyworker.
